Catholic Life and Mission
Families are the first place where the values of love and fraternity, togetherness and sharing, concern and care for others are lived out and handed on.”
Pope Francis - Fratelli Tutti
It is the mission of all Catholic schools that we contribute to the ‘common good’ of our community and society as a whole and raise the plight of those in the world less fortunate than ourselves, in response to the Church’s teaching on social justice. Simple acts of kindness help to raise awareness of the difficulties people have to suffer.
The Mini Vinnies took the remaining Harvest Festival food donations to the Finchley Foodbank at St. Mary’s Church. They spent time learning about how the foodbank is organised and where the donations come from.
OLOL has been allocated 40 places for our pupils to participate in the Mini London Marathon Saturday 26th April 2025 – the day before the official adult London Marathon on Sunday 27th April. We are aiming to raise £2200 for the NSPCC.
At OLOL, we aim to live out our mission statement by helping those in our community. Below you will find the charities and organisations that our children have been involved with. The school actively engages in charitable outreach which benefits not only those in need but our pupils by developing their social responsibility.
